Starting Life Well service

 

The Starting Life Well service offers a range of services for the Early Years: 

 

  • SLW Family Information 
    Offers information advice and guidance relating to Childcare for children aged 0 to 16 years
 
  • Free Childcare Places
    Supports the delivery of free childcare places for two, three and four year olds and funded daycare referrals
 
  • Funded Daycare
    Supports children to attend daycare settings in Salford. Children must be at the higher thresholds of need or in emergency or crisis situations. This support is not part of the free childcare places and is very rarely offered alongside that funding. This fund supports short term intervention and will be reviewed regularly between six to 12 weeks).

  • SEN/Portage/Key Worker
    Supports parents in the home, supports childcare providers in setting, offers key worker support for families

  • Quality Development Advisors
    Supports Childcare Providers in Salford through Pathways to Registration, Ofsted inspections, raising quality, safeguarding and training
​​​​​​​
  • School Readiness
​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
  • Working in collaboration with other professionals such as Children’s Centres, Schools, early help and health to ensure all children are school ready by the age of 5.
